Smart Monitoring for Compressed Air

Compressed air is a system that compresses air to a high-pressure state, providing powerful energy that plays a vital role in industrial equipment as a major energy source. To enhance operational efficiency and effectively control costs, precise air flow monitoring is essential to prevent energy wastage and ensure system stability.

1. Instantaneous Flow and Accumulated Flow Display

The FDM06-I is equipped with a 2″ LCD screen that displays instantaneous and accumulated flow, allowing users to monitor equipment operation and overall consumption data in real-time. It facilitates continuous recording of compressed air flow data. By monitoring instantaneous flow, users can adjust system parameters promptly to avoid energy waste. At the same time, accumulated flow data helps companies analyze energy usage more precisely. This allows managers to identify areas or equipment with high energy consumption, enabling targeted actions to improve energy efficiency and ultimately achieve effective cost control and savings.

2. Combination of Venturi Tube and Hot-wire Differential Pressure Measurement

Compressed air systems are often one of the most energy-consuming systems in factories. The core design of this flow meter combines the Venturi effect with thermal differential pressure measurement technology, ensuring high-precision measurement even at low air velocity, significantly reducing system energy consumption. While traditional Venturi tube designs use differential pressure to calculate airflow and velocity, their precision is often limited at small pressure differences. eyc-tech has incorporated hot-wire differential pressure measurement technology, which calculates the pressure difference by comparing temperature variations caused by the heat carried by the airflow. This overcomes the precision limitations of traditional measurements at small pressure differences, ensuring accuracy even at low air velocity.

3. Multiple Output Options and Real-time Control

The FDM06-I offers multiple output options, including analog output, RS-485 communication, and relay control functions, allowing users to customize applications based on their needs. The relay function enables the flow meter to directly control external equipment switches based on measurement data, effectively managing gas leaks in the compressed air system. If abnormal flow is detected, the system can issue alerts, reducing the risk of leaks and ensuring safety in various applications of the compressed air system.

4. Multiple Pipe Size Options

The FDM06-I offers a variety of pipe size options, including DN15, DN25, DN40, and DN50, providing flexible solutions for different terminal applications in compressed air systems, meeting the needs of various piping systems and offering a broader range of choices.

The FDM06-I Venturi Thermal Mass Flow Meter, with its instantaneous and accumulated flow display, combination of Venturi tube and thermal differential pressure measurement, multiple output options with real-time control, and multiple pipe size choices, greatly improves the efficiency of compressed air systems, effectively reducing energy consumption and stabilizing system operation.
